Drawing a human being let alone oneself is the most difficult drawing experience in my opinion. Not only are you depicting every minor or major detail that creates who you are as an individual but every insecurity or flaw is emphasized in your artistic eye. Something that was important to me was to draw it realistically unrealistic so that instead of worrying about perfection I could focus on shading and art skills. One thing I would have tried to do a lot differently in the future would be to learn how to draw realistic looking hair because that was the area where I struggled the most.
